Seminar - Joe Capobianco's Dirty Little Secrets
October 24, 2008 :
Hey All well IM finally biteing the bullet, and holding real seminars. Some of you may know that about 3 years ago, I held a private seminar in Detroit MI at a freinds shop. This was open to about 13 artists, and was a lot of fun.
The seminar will cover start to finish my approach on a tattoo, and all the in's and out's as I see them. This means I will go over the type of refrence I use, to the pencils, and pens I use to do my sketches, and line drawings. Also from the needle set ups IM using, and the pigments, and color combinations I work with.
The seminar will include a 16 page full color Booklet (care of my publishers at Presto art), which will reference the seminar. As well as a two hour DvD. The DvD is an interview done for Tattoo Now, back in February. This DvD is a candid talk with yours truely, hosted by Hope Galleries, Julio Rodriguez. We cover a good chunk of my career, and my thoughts on the industry today. So a fair bit of shit talkin, all while watching me complete a hand tattoo, start to finish.
There are only 35 seats available for this. I will start taking deposits/full payments via phone at Hope. Or on a first come basis the Friday of the convention. You can reach me for more info at joe@joecapobianco.com
The Cost of this seminar will be $150.
see ya there

Discussion Panel - Talking to clients out of getting crap and into something cool!
October 25, 2008 :
Talking to clients and future clients about the tattooing process is a very important thing, and there are many ways to do it right and wrong. The customer is coming to you as an expert, how do you educate the customers about the possibilities, and draw the line between being a snob and being an artist who wants to be proud of their work, especially on skin? We have a panel of great talkers, who have been working with clients for years, and will let you know how to responsibly educate and talk your customers into getting great artwork instead of what they want.
NOTE: Open to all attendees.
