April 12-17 2009 Paradise Tattoo Gathering is sponsoring Seminar week at Tattoos > Carson Hill > Page 9 > Family Tree< previous next > | 82 of 129DescriptionThis sleeve was designed to represent this mans family, namely, his wife and children, as well as himself. The Blue Jays are being used in this 'family tree' theme to represent the members of his immediate family. The perched bird at the front section of the outer-upper arm is representing the collectors wife, portraying the protective, motherly role, while the flying bird on the middle-outer arm represents himself, a father, also protecting, as well as working to provide for the rest of the family. He and his wifes two children are potrayed as two Blue Jay chicks, in their nest, waiting to be fed. The 'family tree' is growing out of water, a sort of murky green swamp, which was another element this client requested. A spiraling Galaxy can be viewed in the depth of the upper part of the tattoo, representing the infinite quality maintained by family, while also feeding my inner artist. Email Carson Hill
